Jump to Project

ENSR excels in providing RCRA support to industry, including permitting, closure, and compliance. Our RCRA specialists determine how RCRA standards apply to clients' facilities and draw upon our nationwide experience to prepare RCRA permit applications and closure plans that control costs and minimize disruption to daily operations.

ENSR's innovative strategies for RCRA Corrective Action investigation and remediation have successfully reduced costs and potential liabilities for our clients.  We have experience in over 100 RCRA corrective action programs.  ENSR's RCRA Handbook, a practical guide to the regulations, is used by 25,000 decision-makers in all types of industries.

ENSR has extensive experience helping companies with CERCLA Remediation and Closures, including over 100 major Superfund sites. At the national's first successful Bioremediation project (French Ltd. Texas site) ENSR negotiated, designed and completed the remediation and closure saving the PRPs over $70 million in cleanup costs with an innovative solution that accelerated the cleanup with a permanent remedy that avoids future liabilities.

Recent RCRA Project

ENSR assisted a major chemical manufacturer in Ohio to implement a RCRA Corrective Action Program. The project required extensive negotiation and coordination with US EPA Region V to arrive at a reduced list of Solid Waste Management Units (SWMUs).

ENSR completed two phases of field work and implemented an Interim Measure. ENSR used the results of the field program to prepare a risk assessment that greatly reduced the number of SWMUs which were carried into the Corrective Measures Study.
