EH&S Audit Programs Projects

New York Presbyterian, Voluntary Agreement Compliance Audit - An ENSR audit team worked with New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC to implement a Compliance Audit Program. The audits were conducted at multiple hospital facilities to fulfill a Voluntary Audit Agreement with US EPA. The audit team reviewed the following program areas: drinking water, waste water, storm water, hazardous and regulated medical wastes, solid wastes, pesticide management, community right-to-know, and petroleum and chemical bulk storage requirements including emergency/spill response plans.

Boston University, Environmental Management Systems Evaluation - An ENSR audit team conducted a comprehensive environmental management systems audit of the main campus and medical school in Boston, Massachusetts. This included an  evaluation of the University's policies, practices and procedures against the general requirements of the ISO 14001 standard for EMS, which was  accomplished via extensive interviews throughout the academic and administrative/facilities branches of the University. The final report included specific and detailed recommendations for management systems improvements that would benefit the University in the areas of communication, training and roles and responsibilities.

Multinational Audit Program - For a U.S. multinational manufacturer, ENSR audited of the company's international manufacturing operations to assist the client in identifying potential environmental liabilities associated with their operations. Thirteen facilities were audited, including manufacturing operations located in the U.K., The Netherlands, Spain, France, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, and Italy. Special attention was given to assessing the level of compliance at each facility with local and national environmental regulations of the host country.
