Global EH&S Benchmarking Assessments - A Fortune 50 financial services firm needed assistance to identify the current status of EH&S management in each of its 28 companies worldwide. ENSR designed and conducted a benchmarking exercise to determine the status of the EH&S management systems including organizational structure, training, and scope of activities. ENSR also developed a risk profile metric to enable the corporation's management to evaluate business units and set strategic direction for EH&S management for each of its companies.

ENSR then managed the development of a long-term environmental management program that focused on compliance assurance. The plan addresses organizational roles and responsibilities, goals and objectives for program improvement, schedules and completion targets for activities and milestones, budgets for capital improvements, labor, training, and other improvement activities, and periodic monitoring and follow-up.

We evaluated management systems and practices relating to environmental compliance and advised the client on the development of its environmental policies, changes to the organizational structure, and the development and implementation of job-specific work procedures that include steps to ensure environmental compliance.

In addition, ENSR provided training programs for corporate and regional environmental program managers on ways to identify environmental requirements and communicate them to facility employees.
