Forest Product Facilities

ENSR has extensive experience in conducting environmental permitting for proposed pulp, paper, and forest product facilities. Among these studies have been analyses related to the expansion of bleached and unbleached paper mills and the development of new mill complexes. Services have included site selection, air and water quality permitting, process engineering, water supply and reuse engineering, waste minimization, state environmental reports and impact assessments, and human health risk analysis. In addition to continuing project work for the pulp and paper industry, ENSR staff are actively involved with both the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) and the National Council of the Paper Industry for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI). Annually, our staff chairs many of the sessions of TAPPI, in addition to presenting technical papers.
